How do I find data and information on bonds?

You can use/search the DataStream module of LSEG Workspace to locate information on bonds. After creating an account and logging in, click Markets > Fixed Income.

WRDS has several subscribed data sets that are best for downloading time-series data on bonds:

  • Bond Returns by WRDS
  • TRACE
  • LSEG Mergent
  • MSRB

You may also use Bloomberg in the Ford library. For yield curves, type FMCI and press <GO>.
Note! Bloomberg should not be used for downloading long time-series of bond data.
For a detailed print resource try the Mergent Bond Record in the Ford library's reference section under call #HG4961.M66 B66.
