What databases should I use for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information?
For reports and quick data on company ESG performance and ratings, start with the following. All can be accessed from our Database A-Z page.
- Mergent Market Atlas - after connecting, select "Sustainability" from the top menu bar.
- BCC Research - after connecting, select "Energy & Sustainability" from the left-hand category menu.
- LSEG Workspace - after creating your Workspace account, select "Sustainability" from the top menu bar.
For large-scale data sets of ESG information, try the following on the WRDS data portal.
- Compustat - Capital IQ >> Trucost and S&P Global ESG Scores
- LSEG >> LSEG ESG Scores
- RepRisk (unavailable after Feb. 2026)
